Baseball Recap: St. Joseph's Prep Comes Up Short

St. Joseph's Prep fell victim to Bishop Eustace Prep and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 7-0 to the Crusaders. The Hawks' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it four in a row.

St. Joseph's Prep got a good showing from Michael Capilato, who tossed 3.1 innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits Capilato has allowed since back in May of 2024.

St. Joseph's Prep's loss dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Bishop Eustace Prep, their victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, St. Joseph's Prep will welcome Roman Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Hawks are facing the Cahillite at the right time seeing as the Cahillite are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Bishop Eustace Prep, they will square off against Paul VI at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Crusaders their first taste of in-conference action this season.
