Basketball Recap: Leflore County Takes a Loss

Leflore County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 42-33 to the Charleston Tigers. Leflore County lost against Charleston in their previous head to head back in February of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 59-13 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Leflore County lost, don't look at Antionette Holston. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. That's the most boards Holston has posted since back in November of 2024.

Leflore County now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Charleston, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-9 record.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Riverside the next time they take the court. Charleston will host Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Leflore County will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 21st.
