Cherokee County piles up the points against Haleyville

Recap: Cherokee County Warriors vs. Haleyville Lions
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Cherokee County Warriors had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 49-14 victory over Haleyville. Considering Cherokee County has won ten games by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Jacob Cornejo was his usual excellent self, rushing for 179 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Cornejo is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played.
The victory makes it two in a row for Cherokee County and bumps their season record up to 11-1. As for Haleyville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-4.
Cherokee County will take on West Morgan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in West Morgan's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. Haleyville does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
