Football Game Preview: Lebanon vs. Monadnock

Lebanon had trouble last week, and unfortunately for them, their opponent this week is a big step up in difficulty. On Friday they take on Monadnock at 7:00 PM. The MaxPreps rankings say the odds are against Lebanon, but that can only make success all the sweeter.

After soaring high against Newport two weeks ago, Icarus fell to the ground. Lebanon found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 6-28 punch to the gut against Trinity.

Monadnock won against Inter-Lakes/Moultonborough Academy with 44 points, and Monadnock decided to stick to that point total again. Everything went Monadnock's way against Somersworth as the squad secured a 44-0 win. The success made it back-to-back wins for Monadnock.

Monadnock's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Lebanon's loss dropped them down to 1-1. We'll find out if Monadnock can add another positive mark to their record or if Lebanon can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Monadnock's step.
