Softball Game Preview: Crystal Lake Central Tigers vs. Dundee-Crown Chargers

The Crystal Lake Central Tigers will take on the Dundee-Crown Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Crystal Lake Central is headed into Thursday's contest looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Huntley. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since May 15, 2024.

Meanwhile, Dundee-Crown came up short against Central on Wednesday and fell 5-1. The Chargers have struggled against the Rockets recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Dundee-Crown saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Casi Attapit, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Crystal Lake Central's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Dundee-Crown, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.
