Basketball Game Preview: Cypress Creek Bears vs. East River Falcons

The Cypress Creek Bears will take on the East River Falcons in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Cypress Creek: they have been struggling with six straight losses at home dating back to last season, while East River has snatched up four consecutive wins on the road.

Having struggled with three defeats in a row, Cypress Creek turned things around against Davenport on Saturday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Broncos, sneaking past 58-55. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bears have posted since January 13th.

Cypress Creek can attribute much of their success to Kason Beezer, who went 11 for 21 on his way to 29 points, and Alikai Creque, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 boards. Those 29 points gave Beezer a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Harmon, who posted five points and three steals.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, East River beat Harmony 47-42 on Monday.

East River's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Cypress Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
