Canutillo is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Chapin is on a seven-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Eagles will host the Huskies at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Canutillo gave up the first runs on Wednesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They put the hurt on Burges with a sharp 13-7 win. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Mustangs: they've now won three in a row.

Katelynn Quezada was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Alina Banda was another key player, scoring two runs while going 4-for-5.
Meanwhile, Chapin got the win against Jefferson on Wednesday by a conclusive 17-2.
Khloe Jensen was a major factor no matter where she played. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Jensen was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Chapin got a massive performance out of Deja Wilson, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jaedyne Armendariz, who went 2-for-3 with two triples, three RBI, and two runs.
Chapin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .636. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Jefferson only posted an OBP of .389.
Chapin has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.8 runs over those games. As for Canutillo, their victory bumped their record up to 16-9-1.
Friday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Canutillo hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .395. However, it's not like Chapin struggles in that department as they've averaged .449. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Canutillo might still be hurting after the 16-6 defeat they got from Chapin in their previous meeting back in March. Will the Eagles have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check MaxPreps after the match for a full breakdown of the game, commentary, and other softball content.
