Recap: King Lions vs. Chamberlain Storm
The King Lions's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 73-34 victory over Chamberlain. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win King has posted since December 15, 2023.
King found their leader in underclassman Andreas Jackson, who dropped a triple-double on 14 points, 13 rebounds, and 11 blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Julien Barnett, who scored 19 points along with two blocks.
King now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Chamberlain, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-14.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. King and Sumner will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. One thing working in Sumner's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 contests. As for Chamberlain, they will be playing at home against Gaither at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.
