Volleyball Recap: Elk River Elks vs. Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm        
        
		
             Elk River was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight  loss. They lost  3-0 to the Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Elks of the  2-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in October of 2023.
 While Elk River was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Sauk Rapids-Rice's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-21,  25-23.
 Sauk Rapids-Rice can attribute much of their success to  Marissa Bomstad, who  had 16  digs. Bomstad is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had 12 or more in the last four games she's  played.
 Elk River's loss dropped their record down to 10-19. As for Sauk Rapids-Rice, their victory was  their sixth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 19-6.
 Elk River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sauk Rapids-Rice, they will take on St. Michael-Albertville in a tournament  on Tuesday. St. Michael-Albertville will roll in looking for their  fourth straight  win, something Sauk Rapids-Rice surely won't give up without a fight.
