Football Recap: Auburn Mountainview Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Beamer last Saturday, Auburn Mountainview came back down to earth. The Lions received a blow on Friday as they fell 32-13 to the Decatur Golden Gators. The Lions lost against the Golden Gators in their previous head to head back in October of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 49-0 score last time.

When it comes to explaining why Auburn Mountainview lost, don't look at Dale Jones. Despite the final result, he picked up 30 receiving yards and one score, and also threw for 154 yards while completing 75% of his passes.

Auburn Mountainview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Decatur, the victory also got them back to even at 3-3.

Auburn Mountainview wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 42-0 loss against Enumclaw on the 16th. As for Decatur, they have also already played their next matchup, a 53-0 win against Kentlake on the 16th.
