Softball Game Preview: Goshen RedHawks vs. Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies

The Goshen RedHawks will take on the Plymouth Pilgrims/Rockies at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Goshen fell victim to East Noble and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 18-0 to the Knights. The RedHawks haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Plymouth couldn't beat Mishawaka on Tuesday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Pilgrims/Rockies came up short against the Cavemen, falling 13-6. While the Pilgrims/Rockies didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Cavemen 4-0 in the first period.

Elizabeth Derifield made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Plymouth dropped their record down to 9-10 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Goshen, their loss dropped their record down to 4-14.
