Softball Game Preview: Ontario Christian Knights vs. Arrowhead Christian Eagles

For the second straight game, Ontario Christian will face off against Arrowhead Christian. The Knights will face off against the Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Ontario Christian barely beat Arrowhead Christian the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights blew past the Eagles 12-2 on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Knights, who have now won six matches by nine runs or more so far this season.

Hannah Demoff was a standout: she went 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Alyse Campos, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles.

Ontario Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Arrowhead Christian only posted an OBP of .360.

Arrowhead Christian's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-6. As for Ontario Christian, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-6.

Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Ontario Christian hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .394. However, it's not like Arrowhead Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .417. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
