Basketball Recap: Crandall Pirates vs. Kaufman Lions

Crandall's game on Tuesday was all tied up 19-19 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 44-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kaufman Lions. The Pirates were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Lions earlier this season, when they won 47-38.

Kaufman got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kaylee Wrenn out in front who posted 14 points. Wrenn is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Aubre Prox was another key player, putting up 11 points and eight rebounds.

Crandall now has a losing record at 15-16. As for Kaufman, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-8.

Crandall will challenge Midlothian at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Kaufman, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Kaufman Lions duke it out with the Terrell Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Kaufman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.1 points per game this season.
