A Season-Best Performance from Devin Brown Leads Russell County over Stanhope Elmore

Russell County was led to victory by Devin Brown, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Brown rushed for 201 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.1 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.

The win (which was Russell County's fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1. Brown and Russell County will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pike Road at 7:00 p.m. on October 18th.

The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023.

The win got Percy Julian back to even at 3-3. Their road trip will continue as they head out to face Wetumpka at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
