Basketball Game Preview: Central Woodstock Falcons vs. Clarke County Eagles

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Central Woodstock Falcons duke it out with the Clarke County Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday... Central Woodstock will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

Last Saturday, Central Woodstock was able to grind out a solid victory over Stuarts Draft, taking the game 46-34.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Clarke County's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 37-29 to Strasburg. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Central Woodstock's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.7 points per game. As for Clarke County, their defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-4.

Central Woodstock might still be hurting after the 65-42 loss they got from Clarke County in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Central Woodstock avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
