MaxPreps McDonald's countdown: No. 7 Chase Jeter

By Mitch Stephens Mar 25, 2015, 12:00am

The Duke-bound power forward led Bishop Gorman to four straight state championships.

At 6-foot-11 and 230 pounds, Chase Jeter is an aptly sized post. But watch him glide around the court and it's obvious he's suited for the forward position.

The Bishop Gorman (Las Vegas, Nev.) senior will fit in nicely with Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski's system as a polished product. He showed off all that skill and athleticism in the Gaels' 74-54 state-title win over Palo Verde last month.

Jeter had 21 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks as Gorman won its fourth straight title. Jeter was a part of all four of them. He's obviously a winner.

He's also a McDonald's All-American and he will be a big part of the West's team, which is coached by Simeon's Robert Smith.

Jeter will be playing alongside Gorman teammate Stephen Zimmerman, a 7-footer who also played on all four championship teams. He's also a McDonald's All-American.

Jeter is ranked as the No. 10 senior recruit overall by 247Sports.

The 38th-annual McDonald's All-American Game for the boys and the 14th annual game for the girls takes place April 1 at the United Center in Chicago. MaxPreps host Chris Stonebraker and senior writer Mitch Stephens will be on hand in the Windy City to bring you all the action, fun and inside scoop.
