A Season-Best Effort from Gabe Fields Leads Central over Excelsior Springs
Gabe Fields produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Central to the win on Friday. Fields rushed for 474 yards and eight touchdowns while picking up 24.9 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (131.9). He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run.
With the win, Central broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-4. Fields and Central will take on Park Hill on Friday.

For the season, Hicks has run in 21 touchdowns while averaging 201.5 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he had seven rushing touchdowns.
