Football Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Walden Grove + How To Watch

Walden Grove won the last time they faced Sahuaro and things went their way on Friday too. The Red Wolves walked away with a 25-15 victory over the Cougars. The win almost wasn't to be: the Red Wolves were down 15-0 in the second quarter.

Walden Grove's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sebastian Gallardo led the charge by rushing for 112 yards. Gallardo's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 112 rushing yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Walden Grove was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 211 rushing yards. They are a perfect 3-0 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Walden Grove didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jordan Dobson and Paul Delgado. Delgado also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with ten. He got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

The victory was the third in a row for Walden Grove, bringing their record up to 4-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.7 points on average over those games. As for Sahuaro, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-2 record.
