Basketball Recap: San Clemente Now 8-1 over Last Nine Games

San Clemente won the last time they faced Tesoro and things went their way on Friday too. The San Clemente Tritons came out on top against the Tesoro Titans by a score of 48-40.

San Clemente had a senior duo take command as Christian Fernandez went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals and Porter Hansen went 7 for 15 en route to 19 points and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Tolliver, who posted six points and ten boards.

San Clemente has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Tesoro, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-9.

San Clemente won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Damien at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. San Clemente is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 69.8 points per game this season. As for Tesoro, they will take on Trabuco Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
