Basketball Recap: IDEA Frontier College Prep Comes Up Short

IDEA Frontier College Prep lost against Progreso back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. IDEA Frontier College Prep came up short against the Progreso Red Ants, falling 64-41. IDEA Frontier College Prep has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Progreso had a senior duo take command as Julio Resendez dropped a double-double on 14 points and 20 boards and Mathew Zuniga almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine assists. Resendez has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more rebounds the last 16 times he's played. John Hernandez was another key player, putting up ten points and five boards.

IDEA Frontier College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Progreso, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-18.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. IDEA Frontier College Prep will host Lyford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lyford will roll in looking for their 15th straight victory, something IDEA Frontier College Prep surely won't give up without a fight. As for Progreso, they will welcome IDEA Riverview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
