Basketball Recap: Ferris Takes a Loss

Ferris was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost to the Venus Bulldogs on the road by a 63-44 margin. The Yellowjackets were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 44-43.

When it comes to explaining why Ferris lost, don't look at Josiah Harris. Despite the final result, he went 6 for 14 to rack up 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals. What's more, Harris also racked up three blocks, the most he's had since back in December of 2023. Another player making a difference was Omari Tyner, who posted five points and three steals.

Ferris' defeat dropped their record down to 18-16. As for Venus, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-17.

As of now, neither Ferris nor Venus have any future games scheduled.
