Recap: Chesapeake Panthers vs. Adena Warriors
The Chesapeake Panthers had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They came out on top against Adena by a score of 56-46. For Chesapeake, this counts as revenge for the 63-48 defeat Adena walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2020.
Several Warriors players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joedy Ater, who scored 9 points along with 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Cayden Lee, who scored 12 points.
Chesapeake's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Adena, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chesapeake will take on Greenup County at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Adena, they will be playing at home against Glenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
