On Thursday Avon's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Olmsted Falls Bulldogs. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in August.

Avon was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 19-25, 24-26, 25-16, 15-11.

Londyn Stone paced Avon's offense, picking up 15 kills. Stone got some help from Lily Hamilton and her 25 assists. Hamilton and Stone didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

Avon's victory bumped their record up to 13-0. As for Olmsted Falls, they moved to 9-3 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Coming up, Avon will take on Berea-Midpark at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Olmsted Falls, they will square off against Jackson at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
