Medical Lake dropped their record down to 12-8 on Saturday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell 11-7 to the Lakeside Eagles. The Cardinals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

As for Lakeside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games.

For Lakeside's part, Dylan Davis looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, Davis posted three strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Clayton Pavlin, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one double.

While Medical Lake had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
