Rochelle is 4-0 against Paint Rock since January of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Rochelle Hornets will look to defend their home court against the Paint Rock Indians at 6:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Rochelle is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Menard just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were beaten by the Yellowjackets 55-22. The game marked the Hornets' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Paint Rock took a blow against Menard on Friday, falling 94-5. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1526th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 645th).

This is the second loss in a row for Paint Rock and nudges their season record down to 2-11. As for Rochelle, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6.

Everything came up roses for Rochelle against Paint Rock when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 65-37 win. Will Rochelle repeat their success, or does Paint Rock have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
