Volleyball Recap: The Ehrhart School Falls Despite Big Games from Keyli Hernandez and Emma O'neal

The Ehrhart School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Humble Christian Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-1 defeat back in September.

The Ehrhart School started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-13, 25-14, 25-15.

The Ehrhart School's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Emma O'Neal, who had 27 digs and five kills, and Keyli Hernandez, who had 12 digs. O'Neal has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last eight times she's played.

The Ehrhart School's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Humble Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 15-12-1.

Coming up, The Ehrhart School will head out on the road to challenge School of the Woods at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Humble Christian, they will square off against Founders Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
