Basketball Recap: Hartford Public's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Hartford Public had to endure a three-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Prince RVT Falcons by a score of 68-57 on Thursday.

Loss or not, Prince RVT got some senior leadership from Cal Williams and Jordan Iverson. Williams went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc on his way to 25 points, while Iverson posted 15 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Williams a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Justice Black, who had four points and three steals.

Prince RVT now has a losing record at 1-2.

It'll be Battle of the Birds when the Hartford Public Owls duke it out with the Wethersfield Eagles at 12:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Prince RVT, they and Classical Magnet will face off at 5:00 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
