The Shalom Christian Academy Flames will challenge the York County Tech Spartans at 2:45 p.m. on Thursday. Shalom Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Shalom Christian Academy will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs back in March, then bounced right back against Heritage Academy on Monday. The Flames blew past the Eagles 10-2. The Flames have beaten the Eagles the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Eagles has come to flipping the script.

The team relied heavily on Will Turner, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Drake Wenger, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-5.

Meanwhile, York County Tech was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 15-3 to Hanover.

York County Tech saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brody Sterner, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Those hits marked the first that Sterner got this season.

York County Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Shalom Christian Academy, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
