Baseball Recap: Point Pleasant Boro Comes Up Short

Point Pleasant Boro lost to Governor Livingston back in May of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Panthers lost 12-4 to the Highlanders. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Panthers, who until this matchup were averaging 4.06 runs allowed.

Matt Lokerson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Point Pleasant Boro's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 18-13. As for Governor Livingston, the victory (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 28-4-1.

As of now, neither Point Pleasant Boro nor the Highlanders have any future games scheduled.
