Recap: Arrowhead Warhawks vs. Nazareth Academy Roadrunners
After a string of six wins, the Arrowhead Warhawks's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 52-45 to Nazareth Academy. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Arrowhead has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Arrowhead saw an underclassman step up: Natlie Kussow scored 14 points along with eight rebounds. Abby Robel was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Arrowhead's defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 14-2. As for Nazareth Academy, their win was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arrowhead will take on the Raccoons at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Oconomowoc will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Wisconsin Rankings (they are ranked 84th, while the Warhawks are ranked second). As for Nazareth Academy, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Redwings at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th. One thing working in Benet Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven games.
