Football Recap: Adisyn Powers' Menacing Defense Leads Hughson over Modesto

Hughson never got on the board in their matchup on Wednesday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Modesto on Thursday. They enjoyed a cozy 34-18 win over the Panthers. Considering the Huskies' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Hughson didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Adisyn Powers, Ruby Ramont, and Keylee Lundquist picked up one apiece.

Hughson's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Modesto, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.

Coming up, Hughson will venture away from home to take on Hilmar at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Huskies 10.5, the Yellowjackets 8.6) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Modesto, they will welcome Turlock at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 11.2 points per game this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
