Volleyball Recap: Concordia Academy Comes Up Short

Concordia Academy was the 2-1 winner over Watertown-Mayer when they last played one another back in September of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. The Beacons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Royals on Saturday. The Beacons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Despite the loss, Concordia Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addie Pickett had five digs and two aces.

Concordia Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Watertown-Mayer, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Concordia Academy has already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Rush City on the 21st. As for Watertown-Mayer, they will head out on the road to square off against Jordan at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
