After having lost a blowout in their previous game against College Station, Huntsville was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Brenham Cubs 7-6. The victory was some much needed relief for the Hornets as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Jaylee Fuller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered six earned runs on seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Chloe Sanders was incredible, scoring two runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Jazira Enriquez, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Huntsville now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Brenham, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-6.

Huntsville and Brenham could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. Huntsville (ranked 297th) will meet Montgomery (ranked 114th) at 6:30 p.m. on March 18th. Similarly, Brenham will challenge A&M Consolidated at 6:30 p.m. on March 18th down 135 places (221 vs. 86).
