Volleyball Recap: Atlantic Collegiate Academy Falls to Oceanside Collegiate Academy in First Game of Season

Atlantic Collegiate Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Oceanside Collegiate Academy Landsharks by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Armada haven't had much luck with the Landsharks recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Atlantic Collegiate Academy sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 26-24, 18-25, 25-16, 25-27, 15-6.

The win (which was Oceanside Collegiate Academy's fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Atlantic Collegiate Academy will challenge Mullins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Armada's first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Oceanside Collegiate Academy, they will host Lucy Beckham at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
