Softball Recap: Fulton Drops Highest Score of Season Against East Syracuse-Minoa

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fulton). They blew past the East Syracuse-Minoa Spartans 17-7 on Saturday. The result was nothing new for the Red Raiders, who have now won five matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

Riley Trude and Ella Przychodzen did most of the damage at the plate: Trude went 2-for-5 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Przychodzen went 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Mylah Dempsey, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Fulton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive contests.

Fulton's win bumped their record up to 7-1. As for East Syracuse-Minoa, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fulton will head out to challenge Central Square at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for East Syracuse-Minoa, they will venture away from home to face off against Auburn at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
