Soccer Recap: Gilbert Triumphs

Gilbert won the last time they faced Desert Ridge and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Gilbert Tigers beat the Desert Ridge Jaguars by a goal, winning 3-2. Given the Tigers' advantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 28th, while the Jaguars are ranked 85th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Gilbert is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 6-5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four games. As for Desert Ridge, they dropped their record down to 7-7 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight at home.
