Softball Recap: Buena Park Takes a Loss

If Buena Park was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Loara last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Coyotes fell 5-2 to the Valencia Tigers on Wednesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Coyotes of the 14-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Buena Park saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mia Gonzalez, who went 2-for-3 with one double. Lily Phillips also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Buena Park's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Valencia, their record is now 6-10.

Buena Park didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 7-0 win against Lakeside on the 5th. As for Valencia, they have also already played their next game, a 9-8 victory against Katella on the 4th.
