Basketball Preview: Mother Seton Setters vs. South Amboy Governors
Mother Seton is 8-0 against the Governors since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Mother Seton Setters will be playing in front of their home fans against the South Amboy Governors at 4:00 p.m. The pair have allowed few points on average, (Mother Seton: 23.4, the Governors: 29.7) so any points scored will be well earned.
Mother Seton lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 38-15 walloping at the hands of Dunellen. Mother Seton has not had much luck with the Destroyers recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
South Amboy fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They came out on top against Middlesex County Vo-Tech by a score of 39-27 on Friday.
Mother Seton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for South Amboy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-14.
Mother Seton beat the Governors 33-20 in their previous meeting back in January. Does Mother Seton have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Governors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
