Baseball Recap: Lawrence Central Wins Going Away Against Lebanon

Lawrence Central had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the ten-run drubbing they dealt Lebanon on Friday. The Bears put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 14-4 win. The Bears not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024.

Lawrence Central got a great performance from Jonathon Gates Jr. as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kaleb Burns, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Solomon Rashid, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
