Volleyball Recap: Concord Yellowjackets vs. Hanover-Horton Comets

Concord lost against Hanover-Horton back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Yellowjackets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Comets. The Yellowjackets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Concord was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20.

Annie Saenz paced Concord's offense, picking up eight kills. Saenz got some help from Bradie Lehman and her 13 assists. Emma Burbo controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Concord's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3-1. As for Hanover-Horton, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1-1.

Coming up, Concord will head out on the road to take on Coldwater at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, Hanover-Horton and Michigan Center will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:30 p.m. on the 4th. This will be the Comets' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
