Basketball Game Preview: Collins Hill Eagles vs. New Manchester Jaguar

Having just played yesterday, the Collins Hill Eagles will jump right back in to play the New Manchester Jaguar at 12:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Collins Hill will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

While Collins Hill didn't have the best season last year (they finished 12-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They strolled past Shiloh with points to spare on Monday, taking the game 53-35.

Collins Hill's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kaleigh Heywood, who shot 44% from the field to rack up 23 points and five boards. Heywood continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Imari Brewer was another key player, putting up nine points along with six assists and six rebounds.

Collins Hill smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.

Meanwhile, New Manchester didn't have too much trouble with Lanier on Monday as they won 62-48.

Collins Hill's record is now 4-1. As for New Manchester, their record now sits at 3-1.
