Long Beach Poly is a perfect 10-0 against Cabrillo since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Jackrabbits will square off against the Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Long Beach Poly has five straight victories, Cabrillo has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

On Wednesday, Long Beach Poly made easy work of Gahr and carried off a 16-9 win. Considering the Jackrabbits have won 12 games by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cabrillo faced off against University on Monday. The Jaguars came up short against the Wildcats, falling 15-4.

Cabrillo's loss dropped their record down to 2-14-1. As for Long Beach Poly, their victory bumped their record up to 15-4.

Long Beach Poly got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March against Cabrillo by a conclusive 21-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Jackrabbits since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
