The Santa Ana school went into the matchup giving up only 8.0 points per game. JSerra Catholic's 14 points were well below its season average of 36.8 per game. JC came in giving up 16.7 points per game this season. The San Juan Capistrano school had a hard time against Mater Dei's offense, who entered the game scoring 36.5 points per game.
JSerra Catholic (5-2) will play a Trinity game against St. John Bosco next week, while Mater Dei (7-0) will take on Santa Margarita also in a Trinity game.
