It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Wellington ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Clarendon Broncos, sneaking past 11-9. The Skyrockets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Wellington pushed their record up to 5-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Clarendon, with the defeat, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wellington will challenge Memphis at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Cyclones have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.6 runs per game on average), something the Skyrockets will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Clarendon, they will square off against Quanah at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The Broncos are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
