Basketball Recap: Stratford Makes It Eight in a Row on the Road

Stratford won the last time they faced Sunray and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Stratford Elks took down the Sunray Bobcats 52-35. Given the Elks' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Bobcats are ranked 1026th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Stratford's victory was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 23-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.3 points per game. As for Sunray, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-17 record this season.
