Baseball Recap: Waynoka Comes Up Short

Waynoka lost against Covington-Douglas back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Waynoka lost 16-2 to Covington-Douglas. The Railroaders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Waynoka saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stetson Nix, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Waynoka's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Covington-Douglas, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Waynoka will host Okeene at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Covington-Douglas, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Covington-Douglas Wildcats take on Timberlake Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
