Recap: Screven County Gamecocks vs. Savannah Bluejackets
After a 54-53 finish the last time they played, the Screven County Gamecocks and the Savannah Bluejackets decided to play a little more cautiously this time around. Screven County came out on top against Savannah by a score of 13-2 on Saturday. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Screven County has scored all season.
Screven County was led to victory by Jaliah Roberts and Alailah Scott. Roberts almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine rebounds, while Scott shot 4-for-8 from long range and dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Scott has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Jackson, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Screven County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season. As for Savannah, their loss dropped their record down to 10-8.
Screven County will head out on the road to challenge Woodville-Tompkins at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Screven County is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 57.2 points per game this season. As for Savannah, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Metter at 6:00 p.m. One thing working in Metter's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 11 contests.
