Soccer Recap: Jefferson Takes a Loss

Jefferson's game on Wednesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They came up short against the Flat Rock Rams, falling 3-0. The loss continues a trend for Jefferson in their meetings with Flat Rock: they've now lost eight in a row.

Jefferson was without their leading scorer, Camryn Cousino, in Wednesday's match. With Cousino sitting this one out, Dakota Cousino got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. her season average of 52.2).

Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Flat Rock, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Looking ahead, Jefferson will square off against St. Mary Catholic Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Jefferson will be up against St. Mary Catholic Central's rather soft defense (which has allowed 5.13 goals per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Flat Rock, they will take on Riverview at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
