Basketball Recap: Hanover Area's Luck Changes for the Better on Thursday

Hanover Area came into Thursday's game having lost 14 straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They were the clear victor by a 49-23 margin over MMI Preparatory School on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Hawkeyes have posted against MMI Preparatory School since January 9, 2020.

Hanover Area's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for MMI Preparatory School, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hanover Area will take on Lake-Lehman in a holiday battle at at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. MMI Preparatory School and Holy Redeemer will compete for holiday cheer at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
