Soccer Recap: Grayson County Takes a Loss

Grayson County lost against Auburn on April 3rd, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Blue Devils came up short against the Eagles, falling 5-1. While losing is never fun, Grayson County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 245th, while Auburn are ranked 79th).

Grayson County dropped their record down to 2-7-1 with the loss, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Auburn, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3-3.

Coincidentally, Grayson County and Auburn will both be playing George Wythe the next time they take the pitch. The Blue Devils will head out to face the Maroons at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Eagles will host them at 7:15 p.m. on the 8th.
